In 2006 EcoVision carried out an energy audit in the Administration Office of the Government of Curaçao. The results of the audit were used to formulate a number of recommendations. The results were also used to benchmark the building before and after the implementation of the recommendations, according to the Energy Star benchmark.

With a “medium” ambitious package of measures the building could be upgraded to a medium efficient building. To realize a status of high efficiency, high capital investments would have been necessary (e.g. insulation, HVAC upgrade, glazing etc).
